We are looking for a dynamic, organised and marketing-savvy junior to join our team and provide hands-on support across the marketing, administration and eventing requirements of our portfolio of premium wine and spirits brands. This is a junior coordination role, ideal for someone who has a genuine interest in marketing and wants to build their experience in the wine and spirits industry. While strong administration and organisational skills are essential, experience with social media, Canva, content creation and digital marketing will be a strong advantage. This is a office based position in Northern suburbs, Blackheath, Cape Town.
Working closely with the Marketing Manager and sales team, the successful candidate will assist with the execution of marketing activities, brand initiatives, customer communications and events. They will be involved in bringing ideas to life, coordinating campaigns and ensuring that marketing projects are delivered accurately, professionally and on time. We are looking for someone who is creative and confident, but equally structured and detail-oriented. You should be comfortable juggling multiple tasks, working to deadlines and taking ownership of your responsibilities.
A positive attitude, common sense, initiative and the ability to work well with people are just as important as formal marketing experience. Consumer marketing skills, focusing on social media
A good grasp of below the line and gorilla marketing strategy
Execution of Branding strategy to support marketing manager
Creative mindset with an understanding of brand building and consumer behaviour
CRM and Database management
Event creation and management
Good customer communication skills
Good admin and organisational skills
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to work independently
Monitoring and analysing competitive activity, customer, and market trends
Providing actionable insights to guide the sales teams
Contributing to the development of sales plans and objectives
Ability to think outside the box
Experience:
Marketing/or sales experience (especially in event management,
trade marketing and marketing trends)
Proficiency in MS Office, Teams,
CRM systems,
Social media & Canva Experience in Liquor industry will be advantageous but not compulsory
SAP experience advantageous
Qualification:
Lowest qualification required: Matric.
Sales or marketing Certificate/Diploma advantageous
