Badsberg Wine Cellar, located in the heart of the beautiful Breedekloof wine region, is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Cellar Assistant to join their team.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader, has excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality and innovation in a dynamic team environment.
As the Cellar Assistant, you will assist the Winemakers with the preparation of wine samples, loading of local and export bulk wine, and completion of all relevant loading documentation. You will also assist with general cellar operations, deliveries, maintenance support and wine tastings. The role will form part of the Health and Safety team and will be responsible for operations in the pressing cellar during harvest, under the supervision of the Winemaker.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
- Matric (Grade 12) is a minimum requirement;
- A keen willingness to learn and grow within a cellar environment;
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport is essential;
- A passion for wine and production processes;
- Good physical condition and able to work flexible hours during harvest seasons;
- Previous cellar or harvest experience will be a strong advantage.
