Tasting Room Ambassadors | Vrede en Lust Wine Estate

Vrede en Lust Wine Estate is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging individuals to join our Tasting Room team for the upcoming season.

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who is passionate about wine, enjoys working with people and thrives in a busy hospitality environment. As one of the first points of contact for our guests, you will play an important role in creating memorable experiences, sharing the Vrede en Lust story and growing our wine sales.

The Role
As a Tasting Room Ambassador, you will have a direct impact on every guest’s experience | From the moment they arrive to the final bottle they take home.

Your responsibilities will include:
Welcoming guests warmly and creating an inviting, professional atmosphere
Presenting engaging and informative wine tastings
Sharing the story, wines and heritage of Vrede en Lust
Providing knowledgeable wine recommendations based on individual guest preferences
Actively promoting and growing wine sales
Introducing guests to our wines, Wine Club and other estate offerings
Ensuring every guest receives attentive, personalised and exceptional service
Assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Tasting Room
Maintaining the high presentation and service standards associated with the Vrede en Lust brand

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is naturally warm, confident and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in wine and hospitality.

You should have:
Basic wine knowledge and previous wine or tasting room experience
A genuine passion for wine and an eagerness to learn
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
A natural ability to engage with guests and build rapport
A sales-driven mindset without compromising the guest experience
The ability to work effectively as part of a team
A professional and well-presented appearance
A cheerful, enthusiastic and positive approach
Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
The ability to remain calm and deliver excellent service under pressure
Excellent attention to detail
