Lodge Receptionist

We are looking for a warm, professional and guest-focused Lodge Receptionist to join a luxury safari lodge in the Madikwe Game Reserve.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills and the ability to create a welcoming, personalised experience for guests from arrival through to departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all reception and front-office duties

• Welcome and check guests in and out in a warm and professional manner

• Act as a key point of contact for guests throughout their stay

• Handle guest enquiries, requests and special arrangements

• Assist with guest transfers, activities and daily itineraries

• Maintain accurate guest information and records

• Liaise closely with housekeeping, F&B, guiding and management teams

• Assist with reservations and booking-related administration where required

• Handle guest accounts, payments and general reception administration

• Communicate guest preferences and requirements to the relevant departments

• Assist with hosting and ensuring a seamless overall guest experience

• Deal with guest feedback and concerns professionally

• Assist with general lodge administration and operational duties

• Maintain high standards of presentation and service at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience in front office, reception, guest relations or lodge hospitality

• Luxury hotel or safari lodge experience would be advantageous

• Excellent verbal and written English

• Strong interpersonal and guest-service skills

• Professional, well-presented and naturally welcoming

• Strong computer literacy and experience with a PMS would be advantageous

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays

• Valid driver's licence would be advantageous

• Must be comfortable working and living in a remote safari environment

Package: Market-related salary, live-in accommodation, with the final package dependent on experience.
