Bartenders - 4 Star Property

A well-established 4-star hotel in Cape Town is looking for an experienced and service-driven Bartender to join their hospitality team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a professional hotel environment and takes pride in delivering warm, efficient and memorable service to guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, cocktails and speciality drinks.

• Provide friendly, professional and attentive service to hotel guests.

• Take accurate beverage orders and ensure they are prepared and served according to hotelstandards.

• Maintain excellent knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and other beverages.

• Ensure the bar is fully stocked, clean and well presented throughout the shift.

• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock counts and ordering where required.

• Process guest bills and payments accurately.

• Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with hotel procedures.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety within the bar area.

• Assist with setting up and closing down the bar.

• Handle guest requests and queries professionally.

• Work closely with the Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth service.

• Assist with functions, events and busy service periods when required.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Bartender preferably within a hotel, restaurant, lodge or upscale hospitality environment.

• Good knowledge of beverages, cocktails and bar service.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong customer-service orientation.

• Ability to work confidently in a busy, fast-paced environment.

• Good attention to detail and presentation.

• Reliable, professional and well-groomed.

• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

• Knowledge of point-of-sale systems would be advantageous.
