An exciting opportunity for an experienced Events & Venue Manager to take ownership of a growing events division at a premium hospitality destination in the Paarl region.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role for an events professional who thrives on bringing exceptional functions to life — from the initial enquiry and quotation through to hosting and managing the event on the day.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for:
• Managing the full event journey from enquiry to execution
• Preparing quotations, contracts, function sheets and invoicing
• Conducting client and industry site inspections
• Hosting and coordinating events on the day
• Managing event revenue, budgets and forecasts
• Building strong relationships with DMCs, PCOs, wedding planners and corporate clients
• Developing a trusted network of suppliers and service providers
• Identifying new business and driving revenue growth
• Working closely with the Kitchen, F&B and wider operational teams to ensure seamless delivery
WE ARE LOOKING FOR
An experienced events professional with:
• Proven venue or hospitality events experience
• Strong on-the-day coordination and hosting skills
• Excellent organisational and administrative ability
• Commercial acumen and an understanding of revenue, budgets and forecasting
• Strong sales and business development skills
• Established industry relationships would be advantageous
• A calm, confident and solutions-driven approach
• The ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional client experiences
