Snr Accountant

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a prestigious luxury hospitality and wine operation in the Cape Winelands.

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-driven finance professional who can support the Financial Manager and wider Finance Team, with strong exposure to wine costing, stock, debtors, creditors and financial administration.

Key responsibilities include:

• Wine costing, manufacturing and sales analysis
• SAWIS and excise administration and monthly submissions
• Cash book, petty cash and daily cash-up reconciliations
• General ledger and journal entries
• Local & foreign debtors and creditors
• International payments, FX differences and revaluations
• Stock administration and monthly stock takes
• Fixed Asset Register maintenance
• Insurance administration and claims
• Assistance with the annual audit

Requirements:

• BCom Accounting or similar qualification
• SAIPA articles advantageous
• 3+ years' experience in the wine industry preferred
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Sage Evolution 200 or similar accounting package experience
• Easipos exposure advantageous
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Excellent organisational and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Accountable, flexible and able to take ownership
• Professional relationship-building skills across departments
