An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and passionate wine professional to join our family-owned wine estate as a Cellar & Winemaking Intern during the 2027 harvest season. This internship will run from January to May and offers invaluable hands-on experience across all aspects of the winemaking process.
 
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A BSc in Viticulture & Oenology or B.Agric in Viticulture & Oenology
  • Previous practical cellar experience (3-4 harvests)
  • A genuine passion for wine and winemaking
  • A strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and a willingness to assist with a variety of cellar activities
  • Be a South African resident with the legal right to work in South Africa
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with day-to-day cellar operations
  • Supporting grape processing and harvest activities
  • Monitoring, managing, and analysing fermentations
  • Performing wine movements and additions
  • Maintaining cellar hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Assisting with barrel and tank work
  • Providing general support to the winemaking team as required
