Senior Sous Chef with an interest in becoming a Food Sales Exec for a highly rated brand

We are in search of a Senior Sous Chef that's interested in making a move? A highly ambitious, dynamic, organised and engaging individual to be groomed into a SALES EXECUTIVE position for fine foods company based in Stellenbosch. This particular position is well-suited to a young fine dining chef with a little sales experience or a very strong salesperson with a passion for cuisine and culinary trends, a follower of all the top restaurants and eat out destinations in the Winelands.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Food Industry Experience essential focusing on premium quality foods with any fine dining experience a huge advantage
• Highly confident personality & communicator, exceptionally well presented individual with a strong presence
• Self-assured when talking to suppliers about ingredients, food production and culinary technical skills
• Must have at least 3 - 4 years' experience in the culinary world or FMCG
• Excellent planning & organisational skills
• An individual who enjoys a fast-paced environment & works well under pressure and deadlines
• Must be a resident within the Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl or Wellington areas
• Reliable own transport and valid driver's license essential

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Processing and calling on restaurant, wine estate & hotel clients in the Winelands
• Sourcing of new clients and contacts
• Building of long-term business relationships
• Increasing existing customers product basket
• Key account development
• Sales negotiations and pricing
• Planning of daily travelling and client visits
• Managing & achieving sales volumes, targets and KPI's
• Ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction and growth of sales
• Compiling of sales reports and general admin duties
• Attendance at weekly target and business meetings
