Gauteng

We are a young, independent premium spirits company from the Western Cape, making South African potstill brandy. Our range runs from an approachable everyday serve up to aged expressions for top-end bars and restaurants, and it is already listed in national premium retail. We are a small founding team, so decisions get made quickly, there is no corporate red tape, and every account you open has a visible effect on the business.

We are now building our Gauteng presence and are looking for an experienced, well-connected sales rep to lead it on the ground.

Premium Spirits | Gauteng | Part Time

The role

You will own the Pretoria and Johannesburg territory. Your main focus will be on-trade (bars, restaurants, hotels, lounges and event venues), with off-trade as a secondary channel. You will open new accounts, and make sure the brand shows up properly in every outlet we are in.

Key responsibilities

  • Bring in new on-trade accounts across Pretoria and Johannesburg and grow them, starting with your existing network.
  • Secure listings, back-bar placement, menu and cocktail-list features, and pouring deals.
  • Grow rate of sale through staff training, tastings, activations and in-venue promotions.
  • Build strong relationships with owners, bar managers, F&B managers and group buyers.
  • Work closely with our distribution and logistics partner on orders, deliveries and stock.
  • Support selected off-trade and independent liquor accounts where it makes sense.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and report weekly on pipeline, sales against target and what you are seeing in the market.
  • Represent the brand at trade events, festivals and consumer activations in Gauteng.

What we're looking for

  • An established book of on-trade clients in Pretoria and/or Johannesburg. This is essential.
  • At least 3 years of field sales experience in wine, spirits or premium beverages.
  • A track record of opening accounts and hitting volume targets.
  • A good working knowledge of brown spirits and the cocktail and premium serve culture.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Comfort working in a lean, start-up environment and the drive to build something.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills, plus good admin habits.
  • A valid driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle.
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends for events and activations.

What we offer

  • Competitive/attractive commission structure
  • Travel / car allowance:
  • An award-worthy, distinctive product that is easy to be proud of
  • Room to grow as the business scales

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
