Dekkersvlei Vineyards in Paarl, Western Cape are looking for an energetic, friendly and service-driven Barista / Front of House team member to join our team at Dekkersvlei Vineyards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve quality coffee, hot and cold beverages
- Provide friendly and professional service to all guests
- Assist with wine tastings and wine sales
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Operate the POS system and process payments
- Maintain a clean, neat and well-stocked coffee bar and FOH areas
- Assist with opening and closing duties
- Ensure tables and guest areas are clean and presentable
- Assist with events, functions and special tastings
- Have a good knowledge of our wines, menu and products
- Promote and upsell wines, food, coffee and other farm products
- Work effectively as part of the FOH team
- Maintain excellent customer service and guest experience
- Follow all company procedures regarding cash handling, stock control and service
- Assist other FOH departments when required
Requirements
- Previous barista and/or FOH experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Friendly, professional and well-presented
- Able to work under pressure in a busy environment
- Reliable and punctual
- Must be comfortable working weekends and public holidays
- Wine knowledge will be an advantage
- Barista experience will be an advantage
