Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Handyman for a luxury wine estate based in Franschhoek.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and hardworking individual with general maintenance experience to join a well-established hospitality property, helping ensure the estate is maintained to the highest standards.
The Role
Perform routine maintenance, repairs and annual servicing of tools and equipment.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from across the estate, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
Carry out general handyman duties including plumbing, basic electrical work, carpentry, painting and building repairs.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs completed.
Manage and monitor inventory of tools, equipment, spare parts and maintenance materials.
Liaise with external contractors and service providers when required.
About You
Minimum of 2 years' experience in general electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and/or heat pump repairs and maintenance.
Previous hotel or property maintenance experience advantageous.
Good understanding of safe working procedures relating to electrical tools and equipment, with basic hand tool and electrical knowledge essential.
Matric certificate required; a technical qualification in Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering or a related field is beneficial.
Valid driver's licence advantageous.
Dependable, proactive and capable of working independently while maintaining high standards.
Preference given to candidates residing in Franschhoek or neighbouring areas.
Package
Salary: R9,000 – R10,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience.
Live-out position.
