My client, a luxury 5-star country estate in the heart of the Cape Winelands, is seeking a highly organised and commercially driven Events Lead. This role is ideally suited to an events professional who thrives on building relationships and turning enquiries into successful functions, ensuring exceptional service standards are maintained from planning to execution.

Purpose of the role: To manage the complete event lifecycle—from initial enquiry and sales conversion through to contracting, operational coordination, and final reconciliation—maximizing revenue for conferences, weddings, and group business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and convert MICE, group, and private event enquiries while proactively developing new business opportunities
  • Conduct professional site inspections, prepare compelling proposals, and negotiate rates and contractual terms

  • Ensure events are delivered seamlessly to 5-star standards and resolve any client concerns proactively

Criteria:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in Conference & Events, MICE, or banqueting sales within a 4- or 5-star hospitality environment.
  • A proven track record in event sales, client relationship management, and business development.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency in hospitality systems and Microsoft Office, with a valid driver's licence and reliable transport being advantageous.
