ProStaffSelect are in search of a CAKE PRODUCTION BAKER & DECORATOR who is absolutely passionate about creating exceptional cakes. Where the execution and final decorating of each cake is near PERFECT. A candidate that understands and appreciates high-quality ingredients, textures, flavours and visual mastery.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A true and genuine passion for baking and cake decorating.
• Culinary or pastry arts education or relevant work experience.
• A solid understanding of cake production and decoration.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment producing 35 – 50 quality cakes per week
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining exceptional-quality standards.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and recipes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Production: Daily preparation and baking of cakes and confectionary, following established recipes and quality standards.
• Quality Control: Maintain high standards of quality, flavour, and presentation in all products.
• Baking and Decoration: Participate in baking, icing, and decorating cakes, paying attention to detail and artistic presentation.
• Ingredient Handling: Safely handle and measure ingredients, ensuring freshness and consistency in all products.
• Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and replenishing supplies as needed.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and new techniques related to pastry and baking.
• Customer Service: Contribute to a positive, customer-focused environment through quality products and friendly service.
