Winemaker Assistant - Pulpit Rock (Swartland)

Pulpit Rock, a well-known winery in the Swartland, requires the services of a dynamic assistant to the winemaker.

You will assist the winemaker with:

• grape intake, allocation to tanks and all traceability from weighbridge to cellar
• wine and juice preparation processes
• blending and stabilisation of wines
• preparation of wines for bottling
• cellar administration and Wine Management (WineMs)
• assisting with maintenance processes/schedules
• management of operating systems e.g. IPW, WIETA and HACCP
• cellar hygiene

 Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

• diploma/degree in viticulture and oenology and/or sufficient experience in the same field
• driver's license
• strong technical and mechanical skills would be to your advantage
• presentable and comfortable to do wine tastings to bigger groups of people
• excellent computer proficiency
• fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)

 Commencement date: As soon as possible.
