The Wine Hive, wine bar and italian osteria is Main Road in Paarl, is looking for waitrons to join our team for the busy season.
Candidates must live in or near Paarl.
The role involves traditional waiter duties, including serving tables and providing excellent guest service.
Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
• Receiving of visitors and guests;
• Provide information regarding company products and general knowledge on the South African wine industry;
• Assisting with special tastings, functions and events, internal or external;
• Serving tables and supporting restaurant staff during busy periods;
• Clearing, resetting, and presenting guest tables according to standard;
• Liaising with kitchen and staff to ensure smooth guest service;
• Ensuring high standards of service in dining areas;
• Assisting with any ad-hoc duties.
Skills and competencies:
• Strong attention to detail;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Able to function within a team;
• Able to work in a fast pace environment;
• Following instructions.
Requirements:
• Grade 12;
• 2 years previous experience in the wine and hospitality industry;
• Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour;
• Flexibility to work during the week, weekends, festive season, public holidays, and evenings as needed;
• Own reliable transport to and from work.
