Stellenbosch 
Uitkyk Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, seeks a Junior Assistant Vineyard Manager to help coordinate daily vineyard activities, supervise teams and maintain accurate vineyard records.
The role offers practical involvement in organic vineyard management, together with responsibility for records relating to organic and biodynamic farming and the pest management programme.
Vineyard operations and supervision
- Coordinate daily vineyard activities under the Vineyard Manager’s direction.
- Supervise vineyard employees and contract teams.
- Assist the Vineyard Manager with organic vineyard management duties.
Administration and records
- Maintain vineyard administration and related operational records.
- Take responsibility for special-project administration and organic and biodynamic farming records.
- Maintain complete and accurate records for the pest management programme.
Qualifications and experience
- A degree or diploma in Viticulture.
- Experience of at least one vineyard harvest beyond the practical training completed as part of the qualification.
- Familiarity with IPW, Ecocert and WIETA requirements.
- Strong administrative skills and computer literacy.

- An analytical approach and attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn new techniques.
- An organised approach to balancing vineyard supervision with record keeping.
