Hospitality Assistants wanted

A wine estate in the Stellenbosch / Helderberg area is looking for enthusiastic and service-driven Hospitality Assistants to join the team.

The successful candidates will be passionate about hospitality, enjoy working with people and have a good understanding of wine and the South African wine industry.

Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

• Welcoming and receiving visitors and guests;
• Providing information about wines, wine offerings and general knowledge of the South African wine industry;
• Conducting wine tastings and assisting guests with wine-related enquiries;
• Assisting with special tastings, functions and events.
• Serving guests and supporting restaurant and tasting room operations;
• Clearing, resetting and presenting guest tables according to the required standards;
• Liaising with floor and pass manger to ensure a smooth guest experience;
• Maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation throughout guest areas;
• Assisting with general hospitality and ad-hoc duties as required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment;
• A positive, friendly and approachable demeanour;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions;
• A genuine passion for hospitality, food and wine.

Requirements:

• Grade 12;
• Minimum of 1 years' experience in the hospitality and wine industry;
• Good wine knowledge is essential;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Good verbal communication skills;
• Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, public holidays and evenings when required;
• Own reliable transport is essential;
• Must be able to commute reliably within the Stellenbosch / Helderberg area.
