The Vinpro Foundation is a non-profit organisation established in 2013. Our aim is to develop, support and improve the sustainability of the wine industry and related stakeholders by promoting & backing people excellence.

We are looking for a dynamic leader with the right credentials and experience. The individual should have a passion for people and development with experience in managing and growing a successful non-profit organisation/s. The individual will report to the Vinpro Foundation Board of Directors.

Purpose of the role:

  • Realise the vision and grow the Foundation
  • Perform the executive management of the Foundation
  • Increase the Vinpro Foundation brand awareness locally and internationally
  • Raise funds for current and new projects

Outline of what the role entails:

  • Understanding the South African Wine Industry stakeholders in order to foster and grow partnerships and collaborations
  • Create a financially resilient and sustainable business within the next 5 years
  • Deliver client value through support of strategic wine industry socially responsible projects
  • Setting strategy and direction, in conjunction with the Board of Directors
  • Manage, build and lead staff and service providers
  • Ensure Vinpro Foundation donor management success


  • A university degree in; commercial sciences, development studies, communication or marketing
  • A track record of managing growing a non-profit organisation/s OR
  • At least 5 years experience in a management position
  • Business acumen together with project monitoring and evaluation skills
  • Designing and implementing organisational systems and functions to deliver client value

  • Market related, experience will be taken into consideration. 

Contract period:

  • 60 months (6 months’ probation)

Work hours: (Potential to grow to 5 days per week)

  • Three days a week
  • 08:00 – 16:30
