Inherent Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management/Leadership
  • A valid South African drivers license

Experience and skills:

  • Minimum of 2 years of previous experience in the hospitality Front Office (Night Audit) operations of a luxury 5 star hotel
  • Significant background in Front Office service, specifically in the Night Audit discipline
  • Proficient in the application of Up-Sell and Cross-Sell strategies
  • Proficient in use property specific management software
  • Proficient in the application of Financial good practice
  • Proficient user Microsoft Office software applications
  • Conversant with specialist terminology including F&B Service, Culinary, Housekeeping Wardrobe, Maintenance, Security, Operation Finance

Main Responsibilities:

  • Takes responsibility for the smooth and efficient operation of the Night Audit function as their primary operational responsibility
  • Effectively utilizes property management software and tools to record preferences of Hotel guests
  • Ensures efficient collaboration and communication with other service departments
  • Takes accountability for the performance of the Night Audit function of the hotel on the Night Shift
  • Conscientiously participates in personal feedback and performance appraisals
  • Performs a daily “Pit-Check” process to ensure that all charges are correctly posted and un-allocated balances speedily resolved
