An Established Accounting Practice in Durbanville area is looking to employ a Payroll administrator/bookkeeper.

Salary is negotiable according to qualification and experience.

Start date, as soon as possible.


Responsible to perform the entire payroll function (monthly and weekly) from gathering information from the client and performing reconciliations with payslips and general ledger entries in Pastel, Xero and Sage One.

Will be responsible to perform the entire WCA, FEM and RMA function and submitting yearly forms and retrieving LOGS from the various entities.

The candidate will be responsible to submit all EMP201 forms monthly, loading payments, communication payments to clients, following up if payments were made as well as U-filing submissions and drawing statements of accounts to verify if payments were made.

Ensure compliance to statutory reporting and filing, queries, processing of leave, assist with reconciliation and submissions of mid-year and tax year end reconciliations to the tax authorities.

Experience in a similar role and an understanding of the BCEA and employee taxes are essential.                                     
Complete, verify and process benefits forms and documentation (provident fund, leave, bargaining councils etc).
Accurate capturing and processing of employee information (activations and terminations).
Handle payroll related queries where appropriate (which includes SARS queries, leave and salary administration queries etc).

Min N4 Certificate.
Knowledge of Payroll (Intercode or VIP), E filing and Easy File.
Min 3 years working experience as a Payroll Clerk/Administrator.
Accounting knowledge is essential.
