Half-Day Financial Assistant, Somerset West

We are looking for a Financial Assistant for our client based in Somerset West.  This is currently a half-day position (8am – 1pm) but is intended to become a full day position in the future.

Duties include the following:

  • Accounts Payable:
    • Capturing invoices on Sage 300
    • Compiling Weekly Payment Schedule
    • Sending Proof of Payments
    • Supplier agreements and maintenance of vendor records
    • Liaison with Creditors
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • New Credit Applications
    • Opening New Accounts
    • Receipt Allocations on Sage 300
    • Maintenance of debtors accounts
    • Monthly recon and statements
  • Assistant for Head of Finance:
    • Assisting the Head of Finance with all relevant duties

Requirements:

  • Finance related qualification will be in your favour
  • Previous knowledge and experience with creditors and debtors
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with Sage 300
  • Previous VAT and Income Tax knowledge and experience
  • Strong admin skills
  • Being able to perform well under pressure
  • Cash to Trial balance knowledge and experience
  • Bilingual (Afrikaans & English) – not negotiable
  • Own vehicle preferred

Salary on offer:

  • Approximately R8 000pm (depending on experience)
