Warehouse Manager position available for well known Stellenbosch wine estate

Well known wine group in Stellenbosch district is seeking to employ a warehouse manager on one of the farms in the group


  • Managing and performing all bottling and labelling procedures:
  • Perform and manage the setup of the bottling - and / or labelling machine/line in preparation for bottling or labelling
  • back label overprinting
  • Managing wine certification (SAWIS) and WOSA Online system.
  • Responsible to perform continuous quality control checks during bottling and labelling
  • responsible for the cleaning and sterilizing of the bottling and labelling machine/line before and after bottling and labelling and complying to set standards
  • Perform and manage all outsourced related duties
  • Manage and assist in the certification of wines bottled and labelled on the estate for the estate and various outsourced related brands/work
  • Management of stock in warehouse and cellar
  • Manage and assist with the ordering of dry goods, gas, etc.
  • Updating and performing of all daily and monthly stock takes i.e. bottled wine, bulk wine, dry goods and other warehouse related items.
  • Containers for Export:
  • Preparation and loading of export containers
  • Assisting with compiling export documentation in line with export regulations
  • Management of Staff:
  • Able to manage staff and ensure that the warehouse and all related activities function at optimal efficiency
  • Compliance and legislation:
  • Ensure that the staff, premises and farm adheres to IPW, WIETA and Health and Safety regulations
  • General Duties:
  • Oversee the recycling of all recyclable materials
  • Oversee the general upkeep of the internal - and external warehouse environments
  • Oversee the general upkeep of all warehouse related machinery and ensure maintenance is done regularly on the machinery
  • Must be willing to perform tasks outside his/her set warehouse duties when so requested e.g. cellar – and / or vineyard tasks


  • Grade 12 minimum, Diploma or University certificate will count in your favour
  • Trustworthy person with strong administration, managerial and mechanical skills is required
  • Valid driver’s license and forklift license
  • Min of 5 years’ experience required
  • No criminal record
