Do you consider yourself a sales savvy, marketing whizz with a love for wine? Are you forward-thinking, well-organized and natural net-worker? Then this position is for you! Perdeberg is seeking to appoint a Brand Ambassador (Gauteng) with previous sales experience in the wine industry.

 

Main function

To promote wine products with potential and existing on- and off-consumption- as well as direct customers and support the supply and distribution of products to customers, in order to grow the customer base and increase wine sales.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Establish and maintain business relationships with local trade community and vendors.
  • Represent the brand at events, launches and trade shows.
  • Conduct in-store promotions and tastings.
  • Train sales staff, sales and merchandising agency, promotional agencies and waiters.
  • Manage and maintain key accounts records.
  • Track market trends, customer preferences/feedback, metrics and media campaigns.
  • Host wine tastings (corporate and other forms of direct sales tastings).

Minimum requirements

  1. A relevant marketing & sales or equivalent qualification.
  2. Minimum two years’ experience in a sales & marketing environment (experience as brand ambassador or similar role strongly recommended).
  3. Willing and able to work flexible working hours.
  4. Own transport and ability to travel locally.
