Our client is an esteemed Agricultural company that is looking for an energetic and reliable Labour Relations Officer to assist the Human Resource Manager in achieving the group’s strategic objectives.  This role as a whole ensures a better working relationship between staff and management and includes the management of certain staffing tasks and associated administrative duties.

The successful candidate will have above-average people skills and will be characterised by strong leadership, rigorous discipline, but sensitivity towards people. In addition, the successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification, and, as the personnel systems are computerised, above-average computer skills are a requirement.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment, development and maintenance of a specific category of employees
  • Remuneration (Including surveys, market comparisons, job ratings)
  • Labour relations
  • Administration of certain human resource and departmental tasks (e.g. Sectoral Exemptions, etc.)
  • Maintenance of Statutory Provisions (aspects include: LRA, WDBV, all union-related matters)

Minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12/Matric qualification
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (required)
  • At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in similar duties or a similar role
  • Solid knowledge of related IR/ER policies, procedures and laws
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence and people skills
  • Fluent in both Afrikaans & English
  • Own vehicle with valid driver’s

Salary package on offer:

  • CTC of R18 000 – R25 000pm
  • CTC includes retirement and medical fund membership contributions
