Cavalli Wine Estate seeks a full-time half day HR Manager from mid December 2019. Applicants must have a relevant degree or diploma and at least 5 -10 years as a HR Generalist. Applicants must be fully proficient in VIP payroll and MS Office. Previous experience on a Wine Estate or the Hospitality industry will be an advantage.  


Human Resources Manager Job description

 

1.PROCESSING OF ALL HR INFORMATION

·         Preparing & calculating weekly wages on payroll system

·         Compare hourly wages with clock card system

·         Preparing & calculating monthly salaries on payroll system

·         Preparation & submission of Bi-annual EMP501

·         Preparation & submission of annual EMP501 (To issue IRP5'S)

·         Capturing leave

·         Supplying Financial Manager with monthly EMP201’s for SARS submission

 

  2. LEGAL FUNCTIONS

·         Drafting & issue contracts that are aligned to SA Legislation

·         Issuing verbal, written and final written warnings

·         Chair disciplinary hearings

·         Managing employee queries

·         Compliance with Department of labour

·         Compliance with workman’s compensation

·         Leads the Company compliance on all government, labour, legal, statutory                  reporting in terms of Skills Development, Employment Equity, WCA, UIF, Stats            SA, etc.

·         Ensure compliance to all legislation. Advise and communicate legislation                      changes

·         Lead, support and guide all industrial relation matters (grievances, misconduct,            poor performance, operational restructure, retrenchments, etc.

·         Represent Company at CCMA

 

 

3.  ADMINISTRATION

 

·         Maintaining leave files

·         Printing payslips

·         Sending out payslips

·         Send monthly leave balances to HOD's

·         Maintaining salary & wage hard copy file

·         Filing employees payment confirmations

·         Recruitment of all personnel, including writing and placing jobs

·         Maintaining all employees records and reports

·         Participate in any audit procedures that is required

·         Ensure that uniform deductions received from HOD’s are captured

  

4. EVALUATION & PERFORMANCE

·         Developing, analysing and updating the company's evaluation program

·         Ensure that HOD’s perform regular performance reviews and development                discussions that encourage ongoing development of the team

·         Conduct regular performance reviews and development discussions that                  encourage ongoing development of the team

·         Revising salaries and recommend necessary increases

 

5. SUPPORT

 

·         Identifies and monitors the Company culture so that it supports the                     Company's goals whilst ensuring employee satisfaction

·         Participating in administrative staff meetings

·         Conducting new employee orientation and employee relations counselling

·         Ensure that there are job descriptions across all roles in the Company

·         Drive a high employee engagement culture, through surveys, focus groups            and planned initiatives for ongoing improvement

·         Provide advice and support to HOD’s in terms of legislation, company                    policies and procedures and the HR operations

·         Provide training and distribute communications on Key HR Focus areas to              ensure better understanding of company policies and SA Legislation

 

6. COMPANY GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT

 

·         Maintaining and revising comprehensive set of HR Policies across the                    company

·         Developing, revising , and recommending personnel policies & procedures

·         Recommending new policies, approaches and procedures

·         Identify and makes recommendations on best practice compensation                    strategies and benefits

·         Acquires salary benchmarking data and advises  on pay strategies

·         Strategically partners with all HOD’s to drive the desired growth and                      change in each department and in the group over all
