Cellar Administrator, Ceres Area – Western Cape

Our client is a well-established institution in the Agricultural industry based in Ceres in the Western Cape.  They are looking for an experienced Cellar Administrator with knowledge of the alcoholic beverage industry to assist with the administrative and logistical duties of their cellar. As this is an urgent role for them, the candidate must be able to start by latest early December 2019 (or preferably earlier).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Bottle Stock Management:
    • Weekly stock counts
    • Sales analysis, routine sales capturing
    • Monitoring consignment stock levels
    • Booking production run for bottling
    • Calculating additive and dry goods stock needs well in advance of the production run
  • Additive Stock Management:
    • Ordering stock from suppliers
    • Receiving deliveries and make sure all paperwork is in order
    • Weekly / monthly stock input to Cider MS
  • Dry Goods Stock Management:
    • Weekly / monthly stock counts
    • Maintaining stock
    • Planning and organising transport and delivery of dry goods prior to bottling runs
  • Sales:
    • Receiving orders from marketing personnel
    • Packing orders for customers
    • Processing stock transfer documents for invoices to be made out
    • Organising deliveries / courier services to customers
  • Other:
    • Processing analysis data on Cider MS
    • Assisting with food safety and other audits
    • Helping with SARS documentation

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Computer Proficiency ( MS Office, Advanced Excel, Wine MS)
  • Excellent administration and customer service skills
  • Can work under pressure
  • Fluent in BOTH Afrikaans and English (not negotiable)
  • Able to start as soon as possible (or by latest early December 2019)
  • Own vehicle with valid driver’s licence

Salary package on offer:

  • CTC package of R15 000 – R20 000pm
