Tasting Room & Deli Manager

Our wine estate is looking for a manager to manage our wine tasting room and deli.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Promoting and Marketing the business.
  • Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives.
  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly stock take as well as overseeing stock levels.
  • Ordering supplies as and when needed.
  • Sourcing and interviewing waiters/waitresses
  • Producing staff rosters.
  • Handling customer enquiries and complaints – resolving such enquiries and complaints.
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/guidelines.
  • Daily, Weekly and Monthly Administration including payroll.
  • Occasional assistance with other tasks during periods with high traffic

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Tertiary Qualification in Restaurant Management will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in Managing a restaurant, deli or coffee shop
  • Barista training will be an advantage
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Own reliable transport.
  • Experience with Food Costs, Stock Management, Finance / Accounting and general management of the Kitchen and FOH.
  • Efficient in MS Office and iKentoo Point of Sale
  • Must be able to communicate professionally in English and Afrikaans, both written and verbally.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Ability to recognize the guests' interests and needs.
  • Must be available to work from Tuesdays to Sundays 08:30 to 17:30

Salary: R6 000 to R7500 per month depending on experience
