PASTRY CHEF
We are on the hunt for a qualified Pastry Chef for a 5-Star property in Paarl.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment. Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe. Developing new recipes for seasonal menus. Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.
Job Skills & Requirements
Formal Training in Culinary Arts * Minimum 2+ years’ experience working within the food industry as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or relevant role * Pastry-making * Working knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process * Creative ability with artistic skill in decorating pastries and desserts * In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition * Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment
The candidate must be Detail-Oriented * Patient * Creative * Dedicated and Passionate to create * Quick thinking
Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings and public holidays
The candidate must reside preferably in Paarl, Klapmuts or Franschhoek vicinity
