My name is Iker Berasaluce, and I am working in the Oenological research at the Federal College and Research center in Klosterneuburg, Austria. I would really like to enhance my knowledge in winemaking and, therefore, I am applying for an internship here. I will be in South Africa for two months from mid-January to mid‑March and I would really appreciate if I could assist in the winemaking during that time. I have already been working in a winery this last harvest season in Vienna, Austria.

I am aware of the fact that most of the winesies have their interns for the next harvest season. Nevertheless, I am flexible and I can help when required, in the busiest time.

Just before finishing, I would like to introduce myself briefly: I am a Spanish citizen, who moved to Vienna, Austria, 7 years ago for my master’s in Chemistry. I continued in University for a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, but after finishing the degree, I decided I wanted to follow my passion, which is wine, and started attending the Federal College and Research Center for Oenology in Klosterneuburg, Austria, where I ended up getting a position in the Oenological department. This research has been focused on the improvement of the detection and quantification of aromatic compounds present in wine.

Please, contact me for my CV and more information of myself.
