Lead the site Maintenance function in providing both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. 

Key Accountability Areas:
• Increase the site operational effectiveness and improve on project delivery
• Ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to
• Manage the team on technical best practice and establish standard policies and procedures whilst also mentoring and leading the department
• Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities
• Plan and oversee daily, weekly maintenance duties and renovations
• Ensure that designated buildings, plant and facilities are fit for purpose and to provide proactive support/solutions when required
• Attend meetings and action/ communicate instructions
• Produce written reports to the Area Manager
• Troubleshooting and problem solving 
• Provide technical expertise to the team
• Manage, coach and develop a high performing Maintenance team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous       improvements
• Perform minor building works, including maintenance and repairs  • Knowledge regarding electrical, plumbing and irrigation systems would be an advantage 

Qualification and Experience:
• Grade 12/Matric
• Minimum of 5 to 10 years’ proven experience in the maintenance and or building industry
• Qualification in electrical work would be an advantage
