HEAD CHEF 

 We are on the hunt for a Head Chef. The candidate must be able to work in an extremely high pressure environment which requires senior employees to be able to juggle several balls at once.

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent control of food cost, wastage, and kitchen preparation
  • A creative approach to food which fits in with our “simple food, done well” motto
  • Can work together with the GM and Owner regarding the menu
  • Can take charge of procurement and general negotiations with suppliers
  • Can take charge of disciplinary actions in the kitchen
  • Can guide and train personnel and get the best from employees
  • Will have a respectful demeanour (no divas)
  • Can work well as part of the larger management team
  • Can handle constructive criticism
  • Maintains a structured, clean, and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Can handle extremely high turnover services and run the pass in a controlled fashion

The chef will be responsible for the total management of the kitchen and employees of that department. Normal Head Chef duties apply.

REMUNERATION: R25k with incentives.

TRADING TIMES:  Breakfast through dinner Monday to Saturday, and only breakfast and lunch on Sundays. 

AVAILABILITY:  Dependant on the interview process.
