Our client is an international soft fruit group with several business units globally.  With offices based in the Stellenbosch area, we are looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of the Procurement & Logistics Controller.  The primary objective of this position is to merge supply and demand by interfacing with growers and inter-departmental parties by ensuring the right products are delivered to the right location on time and on budget.

  • Procurement and supply management
  • Freight booking and coordination
  • Logistics administration and reporting

Candidate requirements:

  • Degree in supply chain management or logistics
  • Drivers’ license and own transport
  • Commercial experience (2-4 years)
  • Exports of perishable cargo experience (3-5 years)
  • Stock management systems knowledge (2-3 years) – desirable
  • FMCG knowledge (2-3 years)
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Numerical skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Analytical skills
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Strong coordination skills

Salary on offer:

  • Our client is offering a CTC package of up to R30 000pm
