Our client, an international agricultural group with multiple business units in various countries, is offering an exciting opportunity for a detail-orientated and results-driven Stock Movement Controller to join their Stellenbosch team. The purpose of this role being to monitor and capture the movement of our soft fruit daily, keep a complete and detailed database of delivery documentation, and monitor the accuracy of stock delivered and held on a daily basis at the designated sites.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Stock Control, including:
    • Daily stock takes of fruit delivered and held
    • Detecting unusable fruit and ensuring communication on next steps for online waste/rejected fruit are reported back to the Operations team to ensure deadline for execution is met
    • Amending stock list on Stock Management System as orders are dispatched
  • Logistics Administration, including:
    • Loading and information capturing of sea freight containers at the relevant depots
    • Keeping records of all air and sea freight documentation and sending it to relevant stakeholders as requested on an ad hoc basis
  • Operations Coordination, including:
    • Processing invoicing of shipments
    • Delegating the daily operations to the Stager, Freight Forwarder and other service providers, such as; moving stock, handing over the daily load plans, relabeling of crates, ensuring the shipments are loaded in their allocated time frame
    • Capturing the correct stock data, delivery notes, consignments and addendums on the exporting system

Minimum Requirements:

  • Relevant Administration diploma/certificate
  • Experience in perishable exports industry (2-3 years)
  • Experience in preparing stock reconciliations (2-3 years)
  • Export system experience
  • Experience in the fruit industry
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Practical problem-solving skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)

Salary on offer:

  • Our client is offering a CTC package of up to R 22 000pm
