Purpose of position

Creating and maintaining lasting customer relationships

Supervising and overseeing the Tasting Room as directed by Tasting Room Manager


The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Two or more years prior experience in the hospitality/wine industry with a proven ability to be an effective, innovative, and enthusiastic leader.
  • Previous restaurant experience advantageous
  • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
  • Relaxed, friendly and professional demeanour.
  • Exceptional in verbal and written communication
  • Passion for wine and customer service with a strong wine knowledge;
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to anticipate customer needs and respond appropriately
  • Self-motivated and able to act independently to solve problems as they occur;
  • Ability and willingness to up-sell & effectively promote and sell wine and Wine Club memberships to guests
  • Able to meet deadlines set out by management
  • Strong administration skills will be advantageous
  • A third language would be advantageous
  • Able to interact on social media pages like Facebook and twitter,
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow through on projects with minimal supervision,
  • Able to interact effectively with staff and other departments within the winery as well as agencies/vendors/customers.


The candidate must be willing to work weekdays, weekends, public holidays and private events and have their own transport.
