Restaurant manager required by an Asian eatery in Franschhoek

New to open Asian themed restaurant situated on a Franschhoek main road, is looking for an experienced restaurant manager to help develop and maintain an exceptional level of service that is customer focused and has a good understanding of basic restaurant business challenges . 

This is an ideal position for a young energetic individual who is a self-starter and who excels when working within and developing a small team.

Minimum requirements:

  • Own Transport
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

Position Key Areas of Responsibility 

Customer Engagement:

  • Manage reservations
  • Offer exceptional food and wine experience
  •  Make sure waiters are knowledgeable and understand food offering
  • Ensure staff are customer-focused
  • Develop a rapport with regular customers


Staff Management

  • Develop staff
  • Ensure staffs’ appearance adheres to company standards
  • Ensure the look, feel and hygiene of the restaurant adheres to company standards
  • Ensure staff overdeliver on their key responsibility areas
  • Lead by example and in doing so, adheres to the company rules and regulations
  • Communicates effectively
  • Values and respects staff’s input
  • Encourages and supports team work


Stock Control and Business Management:

  • Accurate restaurant bar stock control
  • Reconcile daily cash ups
  • Process invoices
  • Complete and maintain daily reports to management
