An upmarket and elegant restaurant in Franschhoek have a Waitron position available:

This position will be responsible for all aspects of food and beverage related service in the restaurant as well as assisting in the tasting room when needed.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • General cleaning,
  • Daily setting up of the restaurant according to reservations,
  • Welcoming and seating guests,
  • Order taking,
  • Food and beverage service.
  • Stock takes

  • Good general wine knowledge
  • Team player
  • Neat and tidy with a good appearance
  • Willing to go the extra mile
  • Ambitious and able to operate with minor supervision
  • Experience on GAAP POS will be an advantage

 

The candidate will be required to work on weekends and public holidays, in line with the operating hours of the restaurant.

  • Fluent in English.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience as a waitron in an upmarket/fine dinning restaurant.
  • Preferably residing in Franschhoek
