Inherent Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management
  • Certificate in First Aid/Fire Fighting/Health and Safety, would be advantageous
  • Valid drivers license would be advantageous

Experience and skills:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a Duty Manager role within a luxury hotel with the experience to lead a team
  • Proficient use of upsell and cross-selling strategies
  • Knowledge of food, wine and other offerings within the Winelands and adjacent areas
  • Ability to monitor and ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Security and other legal requirements in Operational teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications on an intermediate level
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written skills
  • Teamwork, cross organisational collaboration and building high performance teams
  • Demonstrate a high level of resilience in demanding environments with a positive outlook in challenging situations
  • Attention to detail

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Finance and Reservations teams
  • Drive Guest feedback to the relevant teams and follow up/schedule training on challenging feedback
  • Driving PIT check procedure
  • Manage the monthly reconciliation of Front Office External Supplier Accounts (external airport transfers, etc.)
  • Training on Front Office Procedures/SOP’s
  • Managing the Front Office floats (reception and Forex)
