Floor Supervisor required for well-known Bakery in Stellenbosch (seasonal contract)

The Bakery at Jordan requires an experienced, hardworking, enthusiastic, sales-driven individual to join our team as front of house team as a Floor Supervisor for season. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, fluent in English with a good command of Afrikaans, well-spoken, passionate about food & wine, be creative and passionate individual, with strong leadership qualities, and a team player. 

Please see correct basic duties to include:

  • Assisting Manager on duty with daily opening and closing duties;
  • Ensuring guests’ expectations are met and high standards are kept;
  • Understanding of the establishments floor plan & table numbers;
  • Managing bookings sheets for functions, table layouts, special meal & item requests for tables,
  • Understand and use reservation system DinePlan;
  • Ensure excellent teamwork with fellow employees;
  • Answering phones in a professional manner
  • Assist with breakfast & lunch reservations
  • Stock control: Maintaining par levels and daily counts to be done;
  • Daily cash up:  End of day reports, balancing cash, credit card, SnapScan and EFT payments,
  • Balancing of float.

Starting date: 1st of November 2020, contract will continue till 30th April 2021

Shifts: 07h30 -17h30 based on operational requirements

Own transport essential.
