We are on the looking for an experienced sous chef with strong organisational skills. Situated in Stellenbosch Winelands, we offer Luxurious selfcatering Accommodation, World class Wines and a culinary destination Restaurant.

Responsibilities and Minimum Requirements

A diploma in professional cookery and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position

strong leadership ability

passionate and focused and dedicated to daily tasks, in touch with what is seasonal and sustainable.

strong stocktake and stock control - FIFO

driver’s license and own reliable transport. 

Key duties and responsibilities

Daily mise-en-place

Maintain control of stock

maintain health, hygiene and safety requirements

orders

proper food storage and rotation

part-take in training of kitchen staff/chefs

maintaining food cost controls

any other duties related to this position

extreme attention to detail, passion for cooking and seasonal and sustainability

 Start Date
