Administrator – Stock Control / Salesperson

Working hours:                   08:00-17:00

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • personally, contacts and secures new business riders (customers).
  • assist with sales on shop floor
  • keep customer database up to date
  • follow up on special orders with customers and suppliers
  • maintaining an accurate stock holding of all products
  • run and control stock counts and cycle counts
  • control invoice tracking (Creditors and Debtors)
  • arrange shipping and collections of products to and from suppliers/retailers/customers
  • run aging reports on products to identify slow moving product
  • process the cash up system and upload of the daily sales files
  • assist with the orientation of new employees and continuing education and training of staff as required.

Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following:

  • experience in the cycling industry, or consumer product experience preferred
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • proficiency in excel and bike store systems
  • strong networking, team building skills
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • excellent communication skills and language ability in Afrikaans and English
  • attention to detail
  • strong work discipline, with the capacity to handle pressure
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
