our client, a boutique wine farm, based in the wellington valley is looking to appoint a stock & logistics controller to their team. this position is pivotal in that it controls the largest asset of the business. 

the goal of the appointment is to not only control all stock & relevant logistics, but to create synergy within the business activities. communication is key to this position in that you will coordinate flow within and through to different departments.

  • stock – full control from bottling product through to execution of sales (both local & international)
  • production/procurement – ensure timeous delivery, quality and recording of dry goods in collaboration wit the winemaker
  • logistics (local & export) – efficient service delivery, communication with stakeholders, attention to detail & no margin for error
  • admin – related stock administration – sawis, wine on line, customs

this position will ideally suit an individual who has;

  • solid experience and understanding of how stock flows within the wine industry & possess excellent inventory management skills
  • sawis experience. this is essential, however, customs experience preferential
  • experience of wine ms or ezy or vinsight (advantageous)
  • outstanding organization skills
  • excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • good mathematical and analytical skills
  • an ability to function within a small team and add value at different levels
  • confidence in their own ability & self
  • a will to grow, better yourself and enjoy this fulfilling position
