Our client in Paarl is looking to appoint a Financial Assistant.

This role will be reporting to and be assisting with different functions within the Finance Department and it is therefore imperative for the individual to be able to effectively self-manage.
This position requires an individual to have a service attitude and a high level of energy with the ability to function under pressure and respects deadlines.


Education and/or Experience:

Relevant Financial qualification or studying towards qualification required.

1-2 years’ experience in relevant accounting/procurement environment

Must demonstrate basic knowledge and ability to work with MS Word, Power Point, Internet navigation and e-mail usage.

Must demonstrate intermediate knowledge and ability to work with Excel.

Language Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English.

Ability to communicate effectively in Afrikaans preferred.

Ability to use multiple channels or means to communicate important messages (i.e. memos, meetings, electronic mail).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable:

Reconciling customer accounts

Processing of receipts

Preparation of Invoices

Accounts Payable:

Preparation & administration of Purchase orders

Processing of invoices for payment and capturing of invoices

Reconciliation of vendor accounts

Assistance with ground rent & electricity queries


Filing and general finance administration

Assistance with due diligence & implementation of mergers & acquisitions

Other projects and duties as assigned
