A vacancy exists for a Project Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will report directly to the New Product Development Manager. The ideal candidate will have strong organizing, co-ordination, and calendaring skills.
Key Performance Areas and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the overall coordination of product development projects, in the Wine, Spirits, Beer and RTD categories.
- Co-ordinate new and improved product development formulations and packaging.
- Create and communicate product and project briefs to suppliers, customers, and staff.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing cost estimates of new projects.
- Receive, review, register and co-ordinate project requests.
- Accurate, professional, and timeous communication with marketing, operational and administrative staff, as well as designers and relevant Industry Authorities.
- Ensuring that NPD processes and procedures are followed.
- Track and monitor timelines on own projects.
- Various other tasks as may be required in the Department.
- Processing and co-ordination of 3rd party customer sales orders.
- Customer communication regarding updates on production and loading of orders, queries, complaints, etc.
- Liaison with relevant internal stakeholders, suppliers, and transporters.
- Processing and co-ordination of all relevant documentation, clearance certificates, etc.
Selection requirements for the position:
- Qualification in: Project Management or Marketing Management
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and take charge.
- Professional in conduct and appearance.
- Strong attention to detail and a hard worker.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; good presentation skills, as well as being able to work within a wide spectrum of diversity
- Team player as well as being confident, self-driven and have great networking skills.
- Strong problem solving and numeracy skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Will work with delicate information and must always maintain confidentiality.
- Must be creative and innovative.
- Knowledge of beverages, packaging and food processing will be an advantage.
- Understanding of applicable industry regulations will be an advantage.
- 1 – 2 years Project Management & Microsoft Office experience.
- Experience in SAP or a similar business system will be an advantage.
