Job Description: Line Cook / Barista / General Assistant

Purpose: The primary responsibility of the Line Cook / Barista / General Assistant is to prepare all pizzas back-of-house, assist with coffee as well as general tasting room assistant (Cleaning & clearing of glasses, etc.)

Reporting line: The position reports to the FOH Manager.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ensure delivery on Customer Service.
  • Adhere to standardized recipes & specifications in order to maintain consistency & ensure all standards are met.
  • Keeps work station clean & organized including store rooms, countertops & stove tops/grills, ovens & floors.
  • Hosting Coffee Bar - providing excellent wait service
  • Making recommendations, answering questions and sharing additional information
  • Staying attentive to guests needs during luncheon experience
  • Clearing & cleaning glasses
  • Ensuring customer expectations are met
  • General waitron duties and tasks
  • Adhere to standardized recipes & specifications in order to maintain consistency & ensure all standards are met.
  • Ensures that station opening & closing procedures are carried out to standard.
  • Keeps overproduction and food waste to a minimum, ensures proper rotation, labelling, & storing of food in order to reduce food cost expense.
  • Operate all kitchen equipment & conduct themselves with safety in mind at all times.
  • Maintain a team work ethic with a positive, pleasant, attitude on shift.
  • Security, Health and Safety.
  • Other duties as assigned by management for operational requirements.

 Qualifications and experience:

2–3 year waitering experience in the wine/hospitality environment

Barista Service Courses an advantage

Cooking experience/knowledge

Literate

Competencies:
