Rupert and Rothschild Vignerons, an iconic brand in the global wine industry, based in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley is currently seeking to recruit a

Hospitality Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Global Sales and Marketing Manager.

 Key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to

  • Hire qualified personnel according to company standards
  • Organize and coordinate operations to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Supervise and evaluate all staff
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are adequate in quantity and quality
  • Handle customer complaints when necessary
  • Assist in pricing products
  • Assume responsibility of budgeting and monitoring expenses
  • Enforce adherence to regulations and quality standards
  • Ensure all records are kept properly and consistently
  • Review and prepare reports for senior management
  • Assist in marketing the facility
  • Guest relations

Skills and competencies

1.  Solid understanding of hospitality procedures and best practices.
2.  Proficient in point of sales systems (Pilot advantageous)
3.  Excellent organisational and leadership skills
4.  Problem-solving aptitude

Knowledge and Experience

1.  Proven experience as a Hospitality Manager
2.  3 Year relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management
3.  At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position in the South African wine industry.
4.  Strong local and international wine knowledge which could prove to be advantageous.
