Strandveld Vineyards, the southernmost winery on the continent of Africa, situated between Elim and Cape Agulhas is looking to appoint a Sales & Marketing Director to the team.

The goal of this appointment is to take full responsibility for the sales and marketing function with the overall objective of improving wine sales. you will add value at a strategic level, improving brand recognition, equity, placement & financial viability; whilst at the same time leading the sales team in day to day activities that reach the targets set for growth.

The wines have achieved a strong recognition factor which has driven sales through various channels. you will be required to analyse the channels in order to maximise financial viability in each. exports, destination & direct to consumer channels have taken the lead and will require specific attention. Despite the remoteness of the destination, visitors to the property are on the increase and unlocking value through this channel will be part of future expansion. All aspects relating to the supply chain will require management and focus to sustain efficiency and service delivery. Building & maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders are important to the success of this role.

This position will provide immense reward for an astute sales professional with a strong passion for wine. you will have the ability to create marketing opportunities that not only build the brand, but also result in steady growth of sales in new sectors. The ability to grasp what this brand has to offer and communicate its value to consumers is imperative. you will be both creative and analytical, wine passionate yet business astute, and most importantly, driven to add value at board level.

An appropriate qualification, wine industry experience and a professional yet hospitable demeanour are required. You will be required to travel both local & international.
