Simonsig Wines, situated in the famous Stellenbosch wine region, has the above opportunity for an energetic team player with knowledge of general accounting principles, paired with an organised, thorough, & detailed approach to work.

Duties will include: *maintaining an up-to-date billing system *generating & sending invoices *handling billing, follow-ups, collection, allocation of payments, and reporting of activities *processing receipts, cash, etc. *performing account reconciliations *monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities *handling payment discrepancies *liaising with local and foreign customers via phone and email *generating age analysis *reviewing AR aging to ensure compliance *maintaining debtors files and records *developing recovery system and initiate collection efforts *making process improvements where needed *taking responsibility for month-end closing on debtors *collecting data and preparing monthly metrics *collaborating with warehouse staff regarding stock control *assisting sales team with ad-hoc pricing & sales administration tasks on system *all related accounting and administrative tasks.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Matric;
• Approximately 2-3 years' experience in an accounts receivable and general accounting role (experience in the wine industry advantageous);
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements;
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office required, EzyWine advantageous);
• Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans);
• Own reliable transport.
