Ashton Winery, known for their superior wines and grape juice concentrate, has an exciting position available for a Production Manager: Concentrate, who will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will form part company's Senior Management team based in Ashton, Western Cape.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Manager to ensure that production data is accurately recorded and processed. The incumbent will ensure that accurate monthly stock takes are done timeously, and will assist with inventory reconciliations where necessary. Duties will include (but not limited to): *Total Grape Juice Concentrate production process *Compilation and management of the Concentrate business unit's budget *Management of personnel working in the Concentrate department *Liaison with suppliers of must, chemicals, and other services *Accurate and timely record-keeping of inventory *Technical maintenance of Concentrate plant *Integrity of inventory under your control *Ensuring that processes and products meet ISO 22000 requirements *Management and treatment of incoming and effluent water *all ad hoc tasks related to the role.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Minimum 3 year's experience in a similar role in a related field;
• A relevant Postgraduate qualification will be advantageous;
• Good technical knowledge and experience of production processes in grape concentrate manufacturing;
• Excellent computer and numerical skills;
• Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English);
• Own reliable transport.
Commencement date: 1 September 2024.
