Winemaker

Our client, a well-established wine cellar of bulk and bottled wine, situated in the Breede River Valley region, has an exciting permanent position available for a passionate and dynamic Winemaker with excellent team management and communication skills.

The Winemaker will report to the Head Winemaker and will contribute to the delivery and production of world class and esteemed wines.

Duties will include: *Coordination of harvest activities *Full winemaking process *Quality control *Stock take *Procurement *Blending and Stabilisation of wine *SAWIS administration *Cellar staff management and training *Sampling *Wine tastings *Cellar hygiene *All other general tasks associated with the position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• Degree/Diploma in Viticulture and Oenology;
• 5 years’ relevant experience in winemaking will be advantageous;
• Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, WineMS);
• Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans);
• Valid driver's license.

Commencement date: December 2024.
